Solar Dynamic Observatory Images: Solar Dynamics Observatory Images contain images of flares, the birthplace of these solar storms.

Solar Wind Magnetic Field and Plasma Data at L1: The NASA omniweb database is hosted at Goddard's Space Physics Data Facility. The omniweb database is an interface that provides several solar cycles worth of data including solar wind magnetic field and plasma data at the first Lagrange point (L1), and geomagnetic activity indices derived from space- and ground-based observations.

Aurorasaurus: Aurorasaurus is a citizen science project that collected images of the aurora in May 2024 from volunteers.

Canadian Space Agency (CSA)

Solar-Terrestrial Science: Solar-terrestrial science is the study of the near-Earth space environment (or geospace), how it is affected by the Sun, and its complex interactions with the atmosphere. This page provides an introduction on Canada's role in the field, including the satellites and instruments studying these phenomena.

Geospace Observatory (GO) Canada: Monitoring and Predicting Space Weather: This resource provides information on more than 120 ground-based instruments that observe the near-Earth space environment (geospace) over Canada and provide scientists with data they use to understand the causes of space weather.

CASSIOPE Spacecraft: Canada is making a significant contribution to unraveling the mysteries of space weather with CASSIOPE (CAScade, Smallsat and IOnospheric Polar Explore) satellite. Launched in 2013, CASSIOPE has eight science instruments that gather information on the ionosphere and aurora borealis to better understand the science and impact of space weather. The Enhanced Polar Outflow Probe (e POP) payload on CASSIOPE (a.k.a. Swarm-Echo) spacecraft collects new data on space storms and associated plasma outflows from the Earth’s ionosphere.
