NASA Space Apps Challenge – it is two days hackathon that unites space enthusiasts around the globe.

Space Apps provides a platform for problem solvers worldwide to use free and open data from NASA and its Space Agency Partners. Space Apps Challenge teams use these resources to solve challenges written by NASA experts, featuring topics ranging from storytelling to software development, astrophysics, space exploration, and more.

This year’s theme, “The Sun Touches Everything,” in collaboration with NASA Heliophysics’ celebration of the Helio Big Year! This year’s theme illuminates the expansive reach of the Sun and its influence on every aspect of our environment.

Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology – a special museum which explore the relationship of mankind with the Cosmic World. Its 80 cm diameter telescope for visitors is one of the largest in Europe.

ORGANIZERS

Visoriai Information Technology Park is an innovation community uniting high-tech companies, including Kongsberg NanoAvionics – a small satellite mission integrator focused on delivering next-generation satellite buses and their mission services for the satellite applications market. VITP serves as the Ambassador for Space Technologies in Lithuania and organizes events like the NASA Space Apps Challenge and ActInSpace in Lithuania. Additionally, VITP operates the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre in Lithuania and coordinates Space Cluster Lithuania.

Space Hub LT Unit at Innovation Agency Lithuania is responsible for the development of Lithuanian space ecosystem and the promotion of Lithuanian space capabilities in order to develop international cooperation with main partners in space area.
