Registration is open, and the 2024 NASA Space Apps Challenge is right around the corner on October 5-6, 2024! We are excited to collaborate with NASA Heliophysics to celebrate the Helio Big Year with this year's theme, "The Sun Touches Everything,” and to be joined by 15 global Space Agency Partners.

Last year, 57,999 registered participants from 152 countries and territories joined the NASA Space Apps Challenge, continuing to make it the largest annual global hackathon. This 2-day event is a unique opportunity for innovative and creative minds to address challenges we face on Earth and in space using free and open data from NASA and space-based data from Space Agency Partners.

You can find a Local Event in your area to participate and if there isn't a Local Event near you, don't worry! Forming Your Dream Team and Choosing a Challenge

Participation in the NASA Space Apps Challenge requires teamwork. Our challenges are crafted by NASA Subject Matter Experts who provide their expertise and experiences to author these challenges. Whether you are a designer, coder, or storyteller, beginner or advanced, there is a challenge for you. Gather your friends or connect with new people to choose a challenge and form a team!
