Psst! Don't forget to bring your crew along for the ride! Space Apps teams usually rock 2-6 participants (with a max limit of 6 team members). We're all about collaboration! The most legendary teams are the ones with a mix of skills and expertise—coding gurus, storytelling pros, creative wizards, data wizards, science champs, engineering marvels, tech geniuses, and beyond.

Together with your squad, you'll dive into projects that tackle real-world problems and unleash groundbreaking ideas. And guess what? LifeShip is a human space movement to spread life from Earth in the Universe. Our first mission is a seed bank, cultural archive, and DNA biobank on the Moon.

LifeShip offers consumer products for people to add their DNA, photos, messages, and stories to the capsules. Additionally, we are a B2B space capsule as a service platform. Organizations can add content to this billion-year archive on the Moon.

LifeShip Moon Kit is offering to send your DNA and story in a time capsule to the Moon for the members of the winning team.

LifeShip can offer teams data content in the capsule going to the Moon. Teams can build apps and services that utilize this space capsule as a service, engage the public around space, create messages in a bottle from humanity, create cultural collections of humanity, and more.

LifeShip can offer 10MB of data for free to teams as part of this hackathon.

LifeShip's mission is to back up Earth and populate the stars. Their first mission is a lunar time capsule that is a plant seed bank, a DNA population bank of humanity and Earth's biodiversity and a cultural record message from humanity.

People who join LifeShip now by purchasing their kit will get their DNA flown on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Firefly Aerospace lunar lander with a launch planned for the 2nd half of 2024. ICEE.Space - Analogue Astronaut missions

Award: Experiment opportunity to be conducted during CHILL-ICE 3 (August 2024).

ICEE Space is an international Space Testing, Research, and Development start-up pioneering the future of human space exploration

ICEE Space runs Analogue Astronaut Missions (AAMs). Those are simulations designed with the purpose of emulating extraterrestrial conditions, offering valuable opportunities for both space and terrestrial applications

Analogue astronaut missions serve as a means to test and evaluate various aspects of future space missions, such as technology, human performance, and mission protocols

ICEE Space has a CHILL-ICE mission, which is the construction of a Habitat Inside a Lunar-analogue Lava-tube – in Iceland, as well as APICES – Astroland Project Inside Caves for Earth-based Space exploration. This is mission is to evaluate and expand ICEE Space’s in-house capabilities to run standardized and adaptable analog missions in diverse extreme environments.
